I haven't been around much. We've all been a bit unwell (all except N, she seems to be fighting it).
Anyway not much explanation for beloved Elliot. I hope you will enjoy...
between the bars
drink up, baby, stay up all night
the things you could do, you won't but you might
the potential you'll be that you'll never see
the promises you'll only make
drink up with me now and forget all about the pressure of days
do what i say and i'll make you okay and drive them away
the images stuck in your head
people you've been before that you don't want around anymore
that push and shove and won't bend to your will
i'll keep them still
drink up, baby, look at the stars, i'll kiss you again
between the bars where i'm seeing you
there with your hands in the air waiting to finally be caught
drink up one more time and i'll make you mine
keep you apart deep in my heart separate from the rest
where i like you the best
and keep the things you forgot
the people you've been before that you don't want around anymore
that push and shove and won't bend to your will
i'll keep them still

Time will tell...
...if they will stay so settled.

Our usual sleeping arrangements go something like this :-
Put big girl to sleep on mattress next to our bed, put big boy to bed in his bunk bed, go to bed with wee baby girl. Awake to either big girl crawling into our bed, or big boy crawling into our bed, or if we are lucky to have both at once, awake to kicking, crying and squabbling over blankets in our bed. Often this is resolved by one adult moving to the mattress and taking one child with them.
Tonight one big boy wanted to start his night in with us. I was ok with it, but I do like to at least have a couple of hours with DH and wee baby girl in our bed where I can stretch a little...so he decided he wanted to sleep with big girl on her mattress. We've tried this before (more than once), and it's been a spectacular failure...but it's been 3.5 hours since bedtime and so far so good!

Whilst the baby sleeps...
I can do a bit of this...
Get the kitchen clean...
And even manage time to keep the bigger kids occupied...
I'd have a coffee or jump in the bath, but I reckon that would be pushing my luck!
PS: Ahh would love to be knitting or posting or any number of things, but we are only managing the bare necessities here at the moment!!
PPS: Wouldn't you know it, baby awake!
