...is not all that.
Boy in toilet: Daddy, come here!
Boy in toilet: Daddy, what does T..A..M..P..A..X spell?
Daddy: Tampax
Boy in toilet: Daddy, what are tampax for?
OK, so this is where my hearing cut in and out. Boy ended up asking me, why do you need those for your 'agina'? (Thanks Dad, surely you could have been more creative?).
Me: Urm, I'll tell you when you're 13!
Boy: Thirteen! (Breaks down in laughter as any reference to his future self is unfathomable and totally diverts his attention to the hilarity of it)

At least he can identify all his letters... he'll be reading in no time and you can hand him a book about menstruation.
ha ha ha! but just be aware, they are 13yrs before you know it! (well, 12yrs for my big boy, but have been having period discussion already with DD who just turned 9yrs - though both have known about it for their whole lives, what with a cloth pad bucket in the bathroom each month LOL!)
phew - long sentence! Don't you love these clever kids learning to read!
Good point Kate :).
Yeah I think 13 might be leaving it a bit late. It's funny, I'm sure I've told him before a little about periods...you can tell them heaps when they are very little, but it's around this age I worry he may share too much with his mates...and perhaps their folk aren't ready for their little ones to know the finer points of a woman's biology LOL.
See! just when you thought you had nothing to say.....hilarious....what a clever boy reading like that :)
DD (9) has had her first period already *sigh* they start so young these days!
