At some time today (I think it was after the four billion and fifty seventh time I removed my youngest from the recycling bin) it occurred to me that it was not the year past that was/would be the most difficult, but moreso probably the one ahead. The one where my baby is walking, but is still, essentially a baby. She is on the move, and she is into EVERYTHING. Toilet, recycling bin, climbing on top of the table, pulling everything out of the cupboard type everything.
For whatever reason (could be because they didn't do it, could be my shoddy memory) I don't remember this phase being too too hard with the others but ahhh I'm going to need my patience, especially in the face of constant interruptions, to rescue this child.
At this stage I'm not dealing particularly well...my dear husband has already asked me once to 'stop yelling at the baby' *reddens*. I know, I know, but I'm only human afterall. Give me strength.

eeep..I dont how you hold patience with a toddler 3 times over... I will unshamedly admit to anyone who'd listen that I wish Felix had gone to bed at 11 months 30 days and woken up at 3 years.....sad, but true..
I dearly loved that age with all my babies, but it is a very VERY trying time!
Yeah I think part of the problem is that I am inherently lazy and do NOT relish getting up and down all day chasing down a baby!
Bring on summertime where you can sit outside and let bubs toddle to their hearts content!
I'm having a similar experience! mine LOVES to get into the cupboards (and anything else that is get-into-able, but mostly cupboards). she enters the kitchen, opens up cupboard after cupboard and pulls everything out, then leaves. she doesn't even play with any of it! oh, except the cheese grater, she loves to play with that. yesterday I found my shoes and various other random things in my sock drawer. all the socks were out. trying times indeed, but also plenty of fun!
I think the others mustn't have been like this then, hehehe, you wouldn't have forgotten if they were!
In our house the first three years always pale in comparision to the fourth and fifth year, so I'm not dreading next year, with A (that is), LOL...
But if she's not into the bin or cupboards she will be eating the woodchips, picking the flowers or removing all the mandarins off the tree in the garden. (At least that's what happened yesterday for me:)
It's such a short phase though. At least I hope it is.
